The Essential Guide to Shaving Your Bikini Line
Step 1
Decide your style! Are you just tidying up the edges? Do you want to remove more and leave a strip of hair down the middle? Or is it all going?!
Step 2
If it’s your first time, or a while since you’ve trimmed, you might need to cut back a bit of length first. Using our Schick Silk Salon Total Bikini, trim the length of your hair using the longest trimming setting. It doesn’t matter if it’s not totally even in the areas you are shaving! You just want to avoid clogging up the cartridge.
Step 3
Soften your hair by having a bath or jumping in the shower and apply a good shaving gel to the area you want to shave. Try our Schick Silk Sensitive Shave Gel if you’re prone to irritation. Ensure to keep the shave prep away from any delicate areas.
Step 4
You might find it comfortable to have your leg propped on the side of the bath, or to pull the skin taught. In steady strokes, gently glide the razor over the hair you wish to remove, repeating until the area is smooth.
Step 5
Rinse off any remaining shave prep, dry the area thoroughly and apply a non-alcohol based moisturiser to the bikini area.
Tips: If you are prone to ingrown hairs, try a gentle exfoliating scrub the day before you shave or shave in the same direction as the hair growth.
